Mobile App Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ChartSnipe.com ("we", "our", or "us") operates the ChartSnipe trading analysis platform, including the ChartSnipe mobile App for Android. This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. The App is a screenshot-based analysis tool: it does not connect to your broker, does not access your trading accounts, and does not place or execute any trades.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

• Email address (used to create and secure your account)
• Name and profile information you choose to provide
• Subscription and plan status
• Payment information is processed securely by Stripe — see "Payments" below. The App itself never receives or stores your card details.

Chart Images, Camera and Photos

• The App requests access to your camera and photo library only so you can capture or select a chart screenshot to analyze. Access is used solely at the moment you choose to upload an image.
• Chart images you upload are sent to our AI services for pattern analysis and are immediately deleted after processing. They are never used for advertising and are never sold.
• We do not browse, scan, or upload any other photos from your device.

Device and Technical Information

• A randomly generated installation identifier. This is created on your device the first time you use the App and is not a hardware identifier and not an advertising ID. We use it only to prevent abuse of free credits and fraudulent repeat sign-ups. It resets if you uninstall the App or clear its data.
• App version, operating-system version, and basic diagnostic / error logs used to keep the App stable and secure.
• IP address (used for security, fraud prevention, and to deliver the service).

Information Stored on Your Device

• Your authentication session is stored in the device's encrypted secure storage (backed by the Android Keystore). It stays on your device and is used only to keep you signed in.

Usage Data

• Analyses you run and the AI-generated results
• Custom analysis modes you create
• Trades and notes you choose to record in the in-app trading journal
• News impact analysis you view and basic feature-usage patterns

3. App Permissions

The App requests the minimum permissions needed for its features:

• Camera (optional) — to capture a chart screenshot for analysis.
• Photos / Media (optional) — to let you pick an existing chart screenshot to analyze.

The App does not request microphone, location, contacts, background activity, or system-overlay access. You can decline the camera and photo permissions and still use the rest of the App; you simply won't be able to upload a chart from that source.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Provide AI-powered chart analysis on the screenshots you upload
• Provide the daily AI news impact analysis across forex, crypto and stocks
• Create and run your custom analysis modes and maintain your trading journal
• Manage your account, subscription and usage credits
• Process payments (through Stripe)
• Protect the service against abuse and fraud (including the installation identifier described above)
• Improve the reliability and quality of the App
• Comply with legal obligations

5. Payments

Subscriptions are handled by Stripe. When you start a purchase, the App opens a secure Stripe checkout in your device's browser. Your card and billing details are entered into and processed by Stripe — the App never sees, receives, or stores your payment-card information.

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the service:

• Service Providers — our payment processor (Stripe), our AI analysis services, and our cloud hosting and authentication provider. These providers process data only to deliver our service and never for their own marketing purposes.
• App Distribution — the App is distributed through the Google Play Store, which collects its own data under Google's privacy policy.
• Legal Requirements — where required by law or to protect our rights and users.
• Business Transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

7. Data Security and On-Device Storage

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. On your device, your authentication session is kept in encrypted secure storage backed by the Android Keystore. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using appropriate safeguards.

8. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated personal data directly in the App:

9. Your Privacy Rights

• Access and update your account information
• Delete your account and personal data (in-app or by request)
• Opt out of non-essential communications
• Request data portability where technically feasible

10. No Advertising or Third-Party Tracking

The App does not contain third-party advertising. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not share your personal data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing. The installation identifier described above is used only for fraud prevention, not for tracking you across other apps or services.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Mobile App Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app or email notification. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
